All eyes have been on Kathie Lee Gifford and her departure from the Today show. That said, there’s another former cohost from the popular NBC news program who knows what she is going through and that also left quite a mark on the show — even while only being there from 2014 to 2017: Tamron Hall.
The 48-year-old worked Today‘s third hour alongside Natalie Morales, Willie Geist and Al Roker. She was also the first African-American woman to ever be a coanchor on the show, making it quite an important moment for her and the program. As her contract came to a close, it was announced that she would be leaving the network. Not to worry, though, because there’s more to the broadcast journalist than what we see on television.
Tamron is actually quite the strong woman. One who came from nothing and became one of the most respected people on the small screen.
