Actor Brooke McCarter, who was best known for portraying Paul in the horror comedy The Lost Boys, has sadly died at age 52.
According to People, on Tuesday, Dec. 22, the 52-year-old actor “died from liver failure at his Tampa, Fla home, after having been hospitalized earlier this year, discovered to have a rare genetic liver disorder, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AAT),” a rep for Paul told the publication.
Brooke in 1987.
“He passed surrounded by close family and friends, including his daughter Kaitlin McCarter, 12,” the statement continued. “He will be remembered as a talented actor and musician. He was beloved son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend.”

Brooke also appeared in films such as Thrashin’, Emerging Past, Wired and Double Switch.
